Green Up Day Duxbury on May 6!

Once again, the Duxbury Land Trust is organizing Green Up Day for the town of Duxbury! We hope you’ll volunteer and bring your friends.

Most main roads have some volunteers already, and could use extra help. In particular, Stevens Brook Road and River Roads need more assistance, as do the smaller roads in town. Route 100 is a state highway and will be cleaned by the Agency of Transportation.

If you know of specific problem areas, such as illegal dumps, please let us know.

Green Up bags are available anytime in the black mailbox outside the Town Clerk’s office. On May 6 we will have dumpsters at the Highway Department on Route 100. Roadside pickup is not available, so please bring filled bags to the drop off. Personal trash is not allowed, nor are tires.

Safety: If you are planning to go out dress appropriately and safely: use gloves, proper footwear, and be careful to avoid ticks. Do not pick up drug paraphernalia, like needles.
