Consider Conserving Your Land
Conserving land through a conservation easement or other means helps protect Duxbury’s natural resources and conserve habitat, and may provide you with economic benefits.
The most important contribution a landowner can make is to practice land stewardship. Managing woodlands responsibly, avoiding pesticide use on lawns, and leaving buffer areas along streams all help protect our town’s water and land resources.
Buy a Common Ground DVD
The DVD Common Ground: The Stories of Waterbury to Warren showcases the results of Harwood Union High School’s Vermont history class research regarding their own town’s heritage. It contains oral histories told by local residents of six communities along Route 100, including Duxbury, of life during the mid-20th century. Proceeds from the sale of the DVD directly benefit the Duxbury Land Trust.
